Can I play games using this device. I play games like shooter where framerate and responsiveness is very important. A lags of 100 ms would be a problem. Is this the device I need. Otherwize, are there other products that would fit my need.

The additional processing will introduce some lag, and it would increase with the longer CAT5 cabling, however it is typically negligable. This product however was not designed for gaming, and we unfortunately don't have any specific benchmarks or measurements of the lag time.
