I have an old Sony Viao (PCG-993L) with 1 PCMCIA slot. Its only USB 1.1 compliant. Can I use the "SIIG USB to ExpressCard Adapter" (SW-8229) to use an Option GT Max 3.6 Express wireless card?

As long as your card is USB- based then this should work just fine. We haven't had any compatibility problems with any USB cards.
