Customer Question

I have an Acer Aspire 5610Z, running Vista. First of all will this work. Second of all, I have noticed that some of the PCMIA cards have an external power supply. This one does not, Why? I am ready to purchase this pending an answer, I am only using it for data transfer between my miniDv cam and laptop.

This card will work on any model or computer that has a PCMCIA port, but it has not yet been approved for Vista. The reason many cards have external power supplies is that laptop pcmcia cards usually cannot provide enough power to power an external device that gets its power through firewire. If you are just transfering data that will not matter.
