Will this adaptor and the readily available adaptor cord work with a HP PSC500... It has the small port the computer has only USB ports for printers... Thank you

Unfortunately, multi-function printers like the PSC500 cannot be adapted to work on USB. They must be run on parallel if that's what they are built for. You will need to add a parallel card to your computer in order to use that. If your computer is a desktop computer with a standard height PCI slot available you could use our Parallel PCI card, part SW-1473. If you are trying to use it with a laptop we also have ExpressCard adapters available.
