I have a digital video camera( tape) and i need to transfer(copy) the video to my laptop or desktop can the PCMCIA CARD solve my problem.and i need to ask you if there is a software to copy this video file.

If your digital video camera has a FireWire port and the laptop you are using has a PCMCIA slot in it, this would be exactly what you need. If you are using windows XP or Vista you could simply use the included windows movie maker software to capture and edit that video. There are other software packages you could purchase that would also help you do that.
