When your network cables are giving you trouble, use a Hobbes Network Termination Kit to find, fix and repair minor problems. This kit is compact and comes in a padded CU zipper case.
This Termination kit can be used to find and fix existing problems, or simply modify bulk cable to be used however you choose. The first is a 251450/E Network cable tester to figure which cables could be causing you a problem. There is also a plastic modular crimping tool with 3 crimping positions for 8P8C/RJ-45, 6P6C/RJ-11, 4P4C and 4P2C. This is used to attach or change your connection plugs and fittings for a tidy, protected connection. Next is an economic stripper and punch down tool. Use this to attach the individual wires in your CAT5 cable to the connection type of your choice (RJ-45, RJ-11, etc). After stripping the wire of the shielding and placing it in the connector in the desired position, the punch down tool pushes the wire into the connector and cuts off the excess wire for a solid clean connection. Next, you get two Crystal line color screwdrivers; A Philips: 5 x 75 mm, and Slotted: 5 x 75 mm. And finally, as already mentioned is a Padded PU zipper case (235 x 145 x 55 mm) to take your kit on the go.
