Included Tools
This Multi-Network kit comes with a cable tester, a plastic modular crimping tool for 3 positions, an economic stripper & punch down tool, an impact punch-down tool with 66 & 110 blades, crystal line color screwdrivers (phillips and slotted) 2-in-1: 5 x 75 mm and 2-in-1: 6 x 100 mm, color parts box and a PU zipper bag (290 x 180 x 55 mm).
Tool Functions
The multi-network cable tester is used to locate damaged or incorrectly installed wires. It is basic, and easy to learn how to use.
The 3-position modular crimping tool is one way you can attach 8P8C/RJ-45, 6P6C/RJ-11, 4P4C & 4P2C, as well as the cable connection plugs.
The economic stripper and punch down tool is used to strip the small individual wires with-in the CAT5 cable. After stripping the shielding off the colored wires, you place them in position on the RJ-45 or RJ-11 connector and use the punch down to insert individual wires.
The impact punch-down tool with 66 and 110 inter-changeable blades is another way of connecting individual wires with-in a CAT5 cable to the RJ-45 or RJ-11 connectors. This tool requires a more solid surface to support the impact of inserting the wires into the connectors, but the over-all end result is a higher quality because it automatically cuts off excess wires while inserting them. It is one swift motion that punches the wires with a spring loaded action as you push down.
The crystal line color screwdrivers come in two sizes of both the phillips and slotted (flat-head). 2-in-1: 5 x 75 mm, 2-in-1: 6 x 100 mm.
The color parts box holds all your RJ-45 connectors, RJ-11 connectors and plugs all inside a pouch located in the PU zipper bag (290 x 180 x 55 mm). The zipper bag is padded, and still compact in size to transport the kit anywhere you need it.
