  • Are the output resolutions the same or can they be different? I have a monitor that is 1280 x 1024 and the other is 1024 x 768. I don't want to dumb down the 1280 x 1024 monitor because it looks really blurry when not on it's native resolution.
    • Unfortunately the nature of video splitters requires the same resolution on each. If you want two monitors with different resolutions you will need an additional video port on your computer with can be added with a video card.

  • with this unit will i be able to have 2 seprit windows open at the same time? if not how can i do that?
    • This item will mirror the picture to 2 monitors. It will not allow you to show different things on each screen. To do that you would need a second video output connection on your computer. If you're using a desktop computer the easiest solution is usually to purchase a video card with 2 outputs. If that isn't an option you can add a second video output with our USB to DVI External Video card, part SW-8769.
