• Is this cable compatible with steinburg cubase 4? I've noticed other cable only are compatible with certian programs. Is this a universal software cable?
  • I'm not sure about specific compliance with software products. However, when you install it, the drivers install as a basic USB sound device, so it should be universal.

• How well does it work with USB 1.0?
  • USB 1.0 was released in 1995 and revised to 1.1 in 1998 - you probably won't have much success on a machine that is pre-1998 your bus probably won't support the bandwidth required by the lightsnake. You should be fine with USB 1.1, but because latency is a real nuisance with audio you will probably want to upgrade with a USB 2.0 PCI (or PCMCIA) card.
