The Intelix VC Series Rackmount 1U Mic/Line Mixers include all the sophisticated features you need in a mixer. Controls include independent remote level control, channel ducking, and insert patching.
There are two flavors available: The 4001VC for 4-channel mixing and the 8001VCX for 8-channel mixing. Both units come with all the standard features you want: Balanced in/outputs, support for line level, and phantom power for the mics. The 1U design means these units aren't going to take up a ton of real-estate on your rack. They are infinitely stackable, so you can hook up as many as you need to fit your installation.
Also supported are remote Vol/Mute control using external potentiometers, mute switches, or any 0 -5VDC devices. DB25 connectors on the back allow for remote controlling of all channels on the 4001VC and the 8001VCX. The low cut filter allows for attenuation of the low-end frequencies, and manual(4001VC) or automatic(8001VCX) volume ducking allows for voltage-controlled lowered volume on one channel to give prominence to another.
The 8001VCX goes even further by adding tons more features. These include Priority Autoducking, 4 Channel Insert Patching, Input Clip Indicators, Signal Present LEDs, master output VU metering, APHEX Aural Exciters, an insert patch or direct out for all channels, and even a Compressor/Limiter. The limiter is ultra-high quality allowing adjustments between -10Db and +10Db and is adjustable via a front panel switch.
