2 Ways to Use the Antenna
You can use this antenna in 2 different ways. One way is to replace your router's omni-directional antenna to focus the transmission to a specific location. You could position it in the corner of a room and transmit to the other end of the house. Or you could even position it through a window to focus it to a patio or pool area.
The second way you could use this antenna is to replace your PCI adapter antenna. This will help improve the reception the card gets. With the 1 meter cord you can adjust it to receive the best reception possible. Make sure that your PCI adapter has the ability to remove the antenna before attempting to change it.
Point-to-Point Transmission
You also have an option to use this antenna for point-to-point transmission. This means you could transmit from one antenna to another. Both ends must use the same antenna and there should be no obstacles with a line of sight in between. Although the procedure is picky, you can transmit/receive signals from a distance up to 100 meters which can benefit those who wish to transmit signals across distances in a cost-effective manner.
