The 5500HD from Gefen gives you the flexibility to work from up to 200 feet away from your computer. You could use this to place your computer in a secure location away from harm or unwanted access to its components.
This extender uses inexpensive Cat5 cables to extend up to 200 feet away. The 5500HD gives you the ability to extend 2 DVI ports to extend 2 monitors. Then you can extend your peripherals with two USB 1.1 ports. The USB ports are perfect for your mouse, keyboard, external cd drives, or anything else that you need.
The DVI is HDCP compliant so you won't have any loss in definition across the distance. It also supports DDWG standards for DVI connections to ensure that your video is clean and crisp.
Note: If you plan to extend your devices more than 100 feet, it is recommended that you use shielded Cat5 cable for optimum quality.
