  • Is this cable fully connected dual link cable? We need few hundred dual link splitter cables.
    • This cable is dual link, and the DVI side of the split maintains all of the original DVI-I pins found on the original DVI.

  • We have a Nvidia 8800 GTX card and both DVI ports are being used. Can we used this splitter to support a third vga display (to be cloned to plasma screen) in addition to the two DVI displays. Thanks.
    • I am afraid that will not work. Your video card will only output either the VGA or the DVI signal, but not both simultaneously. You could get an external video adatper like the SW-8769

  • I have planned to use my mac mini with this splitter to use it normally with my dell monitor OR watch films in my old tv through another adapter from the VGA port to s-video. Will it work? Thanks in advance.
    • That will work for you as long as only one display is on at a time. (Note however that many displays go into a standby mode, rather than powering off from the power mode, which might not allow them to switch)

  • I'm plan to us this cable on a projector at a church using DVI connecting to a MacMini and a monitor using the VGA. I want to be able to see on the monitor whatever the Mac is sending to the projector. Is this product right for me? If not, which one is it?
    • This cable does not split the video signal, meaning you could only use either the projector or monitor, but not both. To mirror your image I would suggest getting our USB to DVI adapter, which would essentially give you two video sources. The usb to dvi adapter comes with a VGA attachment as well.
