How the Gefen HD Switch Works
Simply connect your high definition sources to the switch using the supplied HDMI cables or your own. Once your sources are powered on, and once your HD display is connected and on, you will instantly be able to switch between your sources using the included IR remote.
Fully HDCP Compliant
HDCP (high definition content protection) has become standard in digital signals. It encrypts the signal to prevent it from being pirated, but if your equipment is not HDCP compliant you will only be able to view the video at a very low resolution (480p max) or not see anything at all. This switch (and all Gefen switches) is compliant.
