If you already own the Dakota card, you know how important it is to have reliable equipment for digital audio. As good as the Dakota card is, there are a few limitations, some of which can be resolved by the Sierra Expansion.
It will take the 2 x 2 MIDI interface from the Dakota card and transform it into eight inputs and eight outputs giving you the freedom to add six more devices for playback or recording.
Using inputs from a Sierra, the Dakota can support SMPTE and MIDI timecode chase-lock. This can save time from pulling the taxing processes from your CPU to the card. In turn, it ensures perfect sound quality without distortion and frees the CPU to perform other tasks.
NOTE: This care requires Frontier Design's Dakota PCI digital audio card. You can view this product by clicking
