Pros: Plugged it in to my HP LJ 1100. Plugged the USB to Parallel adapter in to it and then into the Vista PC. Printed. Done.

Cons: NONE. ABSOLUTELY NO CONS TO THIS.

Other Comments: I looked all over the place for an adapter for my HP1100 to plug in to my new vista box. Did NOT want to buy another printer. This Centronics to Mini Centronics Adapter with the USB to parallel adapter worked on my HP 1100. I reiterate the HP1100 because there has been such an issue finding a way to plug an HP1100 into a USB only computer. Did I mention installation was flawless? Seriously, I'm a tech by trade and it didn't give me anything to do on the PC. Plugged it in, Vista found the printer. I printed. It was that easy.

Pros: The adapter was just what I needed to attach an old HP Laser printer to a wireless print server. This worked great with a USB to centronics cable.

Pros: I was surprised when I discovered my new computer had no parallel port. So, I bought a USB to parallel port adapter. I was shocked when I discovered that my old HP Laser Printer had this non-standard Mini-Centronics connector. I tried Fry's and other stores, but all I got were blank stares from the clerks. Searched online and BINGO. Exactly what I needed. Inexpensive. Arrived in 2 days (sooner that expected). What's not to like?
