  • What adapter or converter do you suggest to playback an HD movie downloaded onto a laptop to play on our Sharp Aquos LC-65D64U (1080p) LCD TV?
    • If your sharp TV has a VGA input (15 pin also sometimes called D-SUB or RGB) then the best options would be a direct VGA cable. If you wish to connect over component, this adapter would work well for you.

  • What about a wireless version of this box, using the existing Wireless Ethernet in a Laptop to the HDTV?
    • Our SW-8743 works that way. You install a small application on your comptuer and it will use existing wired or wireless ethernet and can give you a component HD transmission to your TV.

  • I want to connect my component video output cable box to a DVI-D or VGA input on my ceiling projector. What do you suggest as I see that most passive cable adapters won't do the trick? Thanks!
    • Passive adapter cables will work only if your projector was built to accept component signals through its VGA port, which is actually fairly common in projectors, but not so common that you should risk ordering an adapter before you check. If it is not supported, our Component to VGA adapter is what I recommend.
