Audio Authority's 1361 Component Video Down Converter
Today there is such a wide variety of video sources and displays that often times displays can't work with some video sources, and vice-versa. The Audio Authority Component Video Down Converter processes and conditions the video so that you can get the highest resolution and the most pristine picture possible from your HD digital source on your non-digital standard definition display.
What This Does
The Audio Authority 1361 Component Down Converter allows you to use non-HDTV displays in your HDTV distribution system, along with your HDTV video sources. This converter can handle resolutions of up to 1080i and computer resolutions of 1600x1200 at 60Hz from your sources. The video processor ensures that whatever video settings are supported by the display are being fed to the display, no matter what source is connected to the mixed media switch. The digital high definition is turned into an analog signal that your non-HDTV display can read.
More Specifically Speaking
Model 1361 Component Down Converter generates a standard analog NTSC or PAL video signal from an HD component or PC video signal.
There are a couple of outputs you can choose from: either composite analog audio and S-Video or standard definition component (YCbCr) format, with HD Pass-thru. Any HD signal up to 1080i can be converted to standard analog video. It can also handle computer resolutions up to UXGA (1600 x 1200 at 60Hz) vertical refresh rate.
