Now you can enjoy the convenience of having an ultra-compact desktop computer with the benefits of dual, triple, or quad monitor support thanks to the USB to DVI adapter from Gefen.

This adapter supports resolutions up to 1600x1200 (up to a 22”-24” monitor) and allows you to mirror or extend the desktop giving you more space to work and enjoy your Mac. You can also use this USB to DVI adapter in mirror mode for presentations and tradeshows.

Here is how to setup your MacMini for more than one display with the USB to DVI converter from Gefen.

First, download the latest Mac drivers. These drivers require you to have MacOS Tiger (10.4.11) or Leopard (10.5.2 and later) installed. If you don’t meet these standards, please update your computer using Software Update. You’ll also need to have an Intel-based computer. If you’re unsure if your computer has an Intel processor, go to the Apple menu and select “About this Mac”. It will show you both memory and processor information within that window.

After you download the drivers, open the image file and install them through the guided setup. The screenshots for the setup are provided below.

Once the software has installed, please restart your computer so the changes will go into effect.

Next, connect the USB to DVI converter by plugging in the included USB cable in one side and connect your monitor to the DVI port. If your monitor only has a VGA connector, you will need to use the included DVI to VGA adapter.

After you have plugged in the adapter, the computer should automatically recognize that a new monitor has been plugged in and should extend the desktop. If the computer does not recognize the newly connected monitor, or you want to change display preferences, go to System Preferences and select Displays. Here you can configure your monitor(s) and set them up as mirror or extended desktop.

Want to add more monitors to your computer? It’s easy with Gefen's adapter. Just add more USB to DVI adapters and connect each one up to another monitor. You simultaneously use up to six additional monitors.
