Now that you invested so much money for such a small laptop, it’s important to protect the slim stylish MacBook Air with an invisible shield. Apple has done a great job utilizing the latest technology by manufacturing the most recent MacBook lineup using a carving method. This provides a solid frame and sleek look as well as additional cooling.

As nice as the MacBook Air looks, it’s still prone to scratches, scuffs, and other ailments common to normal usage. The invisible shield from Zagg (formerly Shield Zone) adds additional protection to the MacBook Air and other electronic devices while still maintaining the elegant style everyone has come to expect from Apple. Along with added protection from scratches and scuffs, adding an invisible shield dramatically improves the grip preventing the Air from slipping from a table, backpack, or your hands.

The process of adding the Invisible Shield to the Air is fairly simple and straight forward. To begin, layout all the pieces you’ll need and have plenty of Shield spray solution on hand (the kit includes two bottles). I also recommend having a blow dryer around for some areas that may need quick additional drying.

Next, we'll start with the back piece. Carefully remove the back piece from the wax type paper and lightly spray the included solution over the entire backside. Then flip it over and slide into place. You can use the power connector and 4 holes as guides.

Use the included rubber piece or a credit card and remove any bubbles. I have a towel I use to catch the extra spray so it does not effect the computer.

Now we'll move onto the track pad. Using the same method as before, spray the piece of invisible shield and guide it onto the top of the track pad. You can use the outline of the keyboard for guidance.

Next, repeat the same process for the top piece and use a flat plastic or rubber item to remove any bubbles.

After all the pieces are on the comptuer, let it sit for 2-3 hours to ensure that most of the spray has dried underneath. Don't worry too much about small bubbles, they will disappear in a matter of days.
