About the Cat5e Cable
Our Cat5 cable is 'enhanced' giving it the extra 'e.' This essentially means that the cable is gigabit ready (aka Base1000-T) and is capable of transfering 1000 megabits per second. The cable is unshielded and features 4 twisted pairs of 24 AWG conductors with a solid construction (as opposed to stranded). The jacket is certified by UL to be installed in walls (CM jacket). 1000 feet of the cable sits in a pull box where the cable is easily pulled out without tangles, and the jacket is marked at every foot for easy installation.
About Our RJ45 Connectors and Crimper/Strip Tool
Our RJ45 heads will stand the test of time with ultra sensitive 50-micron thick gold plating over each connector which increases conductivity and data transfer. The connectors are made for unshielded solid Cat5e cable and works perfectly with the cable included in the kit. The crimper tool will get the job done with a blade for cutting/stripping cable and a crimping function for RJ45 and RJ11/RJ12.
