    • This charger is compatible with nearly all iPods. The exceptions are the early generation ones that use firewire to charge, and any of the Shuffles.

  • Does the device charge the ipod when the car is turned off or only when its running?
    • This is actually car-specific, but in our experience older cars (pre-2000) tend to let you use the chargers when the car is off and new ones generally don't allow you to use the chargers unless the car is on. Of course, we can make not guarantees about this - if possible test with another device before ordering.
