Pros: Dock connector makes a *big* difference in sound quality. The cable is very thin and easy to hide/route if you're using it in your car.

Cons: The product overall does not feel very well-built and I have trouble with the way it handles retracting almost every time I use it. (It works a lot like the pull cord on window blinds, but not as well.)

Other Comments: I'd only recommend this if you really must have a retractable cable. If you just want a dock connector to mini-stereo cable, there are other, non-retractable cables that are better.

Pros: Compact and doesn't get tangled. Much better sound quality from iPod and volume is better controlled from amp (not iPod).

Cons: Retract slowly or it gets tangled

Other Comments: I've successfully used mine with headphone amp, hotel room audio systems, my daughter's Honda Civic aux input.
