  • has this been tested with the iphone 3g? Many such accessories will connect to iphone 3g but a message will pop up saying the device is not compatible and do you want to put your iphone into Airplane mode (which means no phone calls in or out)?
    • Unfortunately this has not been tested with the 3G iPhone. This item was released before the 3G iPhone and may not be compatible with it.

  • Hi there. I stopped using ipods because they kept breaking. Now I use a regular mp3 player with a simple 3.5mm Stereo output to headphones. But I have a problem. My car is wired for ipod. So, here's my question... If I were to hook this up to my mp3 players headphone output, could I go the opposite direction, back INTO my car stereo? I'm not an engineer, as you can tell. I'm trying to find a cable that would keep me from having to rip my car ipod cable out, is all. Any ideas?
    • The IPOD connector has two pins that carry analog audio, so this is possible, but you would need a female-female coupler to plug this cable into your existing interface, and I'm not sure those are made. You could always wire it directly, but that would ruin your cables.
