The Outdoor Mesh AP is so smart that you may think that it is alive. But don't worry, Level One assures us that the AP is, in fact, not sentient.
When deployed in the same area several AP's create a mesh wireless network. Each node acts as both a transceiver or network bridge and access point. Traffic is automatically routed around non-functioning nodes to create a highly reliable, self-healing network.
POE: No more power cords and extension cables:
Thanks to a sleek implementation of POE, Power over Ethernet, you no longer need to worry about getting 120v outlets to your AP. The WAB-2000H requires so little power that it can be powered off ethernet network cables.
SuperG, 108Mbps:
The WAB-2000H supports dual-spectrum and tri-band operation for faster networking. In a mesh network each node communicates at 108 Mbps using Super G. Clients supporting Super G can also enjoy network speeds that are even faster than 100mbit ethernet.
Smart, but not too smart:
Network administration control is paramount. While the AP can pretty much just be dropped anywhere and run, configuration control can still be taken via a web-interface.
Security:
The smart firmware detects rogue APs to help prevent unauthorized access and WEP encryption, upto 152-bit, keeps communications safe from eavesdropping.
