  • I think the previous answer applies to me but to be sure...I need to connect component output from my DVD player to the VGA input on my Loewe Digital HDTV. ( It has only one Component input in addition to the VGA, and I want the Set Top Box and the DVD Player to have their own discrete inputs. I currently use a switcher, which is ok but does not allow individual input adjustments.) Thanks...
    • Using a cable like this to go from a component video source to a VGA display only works if the display specifically supports a component RGsB signal through the VGA port. If your TV does support that then this will work fine. To find out if it will work for you, you'll need to consult the documentation for your TV.

    • Yes that is what it is meant for, but it only works if your video card manufacturer specifically states that this will work.
