You may come across VGA cables that were made for a specific purpose and no longer fit in your system anymore. This male to male gender changer connects to a female VGA cable end and converts it to male. This is useful if you have a male to female cable that you need converted back to regular male to male.

Sometimes figuring out the what gender you have and what it needs to be can be confusing. Usually confusion is caused when a cable is purchased with opposite cable ends.

Normally, a VGA cable has male to male ends. It is possible to purchase a male to female cable, which is usually done so that you can daisy chain it with another standard male to male cable.
