• I have three computers running and I want them all to use the same keyboard mouse and other usb devises, i'm running two apples and one windows computer, will this cause any problems?
  • Unfortunately this adapter will not work for you. The switch is controlled with a keyboard command (scroll lock twice from the computer requesting controll) That could not be managed effectively with a shared keyboard. It is also incompatible with Mac computers (they do not have a scroll lock key, and interpret the signal differently even when connected to a PC keyboard)

• I live in a weak wi-fi area, I purchased a USB wi-fi antenna. It works very well with my desktop PC. Will I be able to use this switch to connect two laptops to this antenna
  • Yes, this will allow you to share the antenna between two computers. Please note that only 1 computer can be using the antenna at any given time.

• can this switch be used in reverse, that is one computer, manually switching between 2 usb peripherals?
  • No, this will not work that way. It will only work to switch devices between multiple computers. We do not have a USB switch that will work how you have described.

• I need to share 1 multi-function printer/scanner/copier/fax with 3 desktop computers and 1 laptop. Will this product work for me? I would prefer a product with hotkey switching over manually pushing a button on the switch.
  • Yes, this should work well for you. You simply press the Scroll Lock button twice to pull control to to that particular computer, and the printer should be shared effectively. It is not however compatible with Apple comptuers.

• I need to share a usb device, Smarttech DT770 Sympodiium with 2 pc's and a Mac. Do you have a usb switch, either auto or manual that will do this.
  • Unfortunately this adapter will not work for you. The switch is controlled with a keyboard command (scroll lock twice from the computer requesting controll) It is incompatible with Mac computers (they do not have a scroll lock key, and interpret the signal differently even when connected to a PC keyboard). Sadly currently we do not have a 4 port option that is compatible with Mac comptuers.
