USB 2.0 Front Panel Hub, 4-port Reviews - SD-U2HUB-4

Pros: Fast shipping. Easy to install and works with Vista. Looks good in my 5.25" bay - red power light on all the time - green lights appear at each USB port that is in use. Gives me 4 USB ports available from the front panel which is so much easier and safer than reaching around the back of my PC. Does exactly what I want.

Cons: Doesn't work if you forget to plug in the power cable like I did and then think this is a piece of junk until some other guy asks if you plugged in the power cable and you say you did everything perfectly but he sees that there is no power cable attached. Once that has been corrected it works just fine.

Pros: Simple to install - instructions straight forward - unit works as a hub.

Cons: You offer a split power cable but you should also offer or include a 1X5F to 1X5F USB cable so one could connect the panel directly to the motherboard. Some cameras and microphones do not work through a hub and this would convert the SW-2556 to front USB ports rather that a front Hub. I had to order my cable elsewhere to accomplish this!

Pros: Simple install, as long as you know what you're doing.

Cons: Could be more asthetically pleaseing

Other Comments: Overall, good buy. Removes the need for one more plugged in peripheral on your desk.

Other Comments: Odd setup, though not a true detraction, the product does function as a hub properly. The engineering of the device could have been better. Why plug into an external port when it is an internal device. It woul have been helpful to have a power connector adapter included, you will need it if you have a floppy installed and no additional power couple.
