The
USB 2.0/FireWire front panel hub puts four USB 2.0 ports and two FireWire ports on the front of your computer.
This front panel combo hub can be easily installed into a 5.25" or 3.5" bay of your desktop PC. It also comes with a three foot USB 2.0 cable and a three foot FireWire 6-pin to 6-pin cable, both used to connect the bay hub to an internal USB and FireWire port (if available). If you don't have an internal USB or FireWire port, it can be plugged into an available external USB and FireWire port on the back of the computer by removing a bracket.
If you'd like to add an internal USB and FireWire port to your computer, we have a USB 2.0/FireWire Combo PCI Card that has one internal USB port and one internal FireWire port.
This front panel hub is powered by the SP4 internal power connector (floppy drive power connector--see our connection diagram). If you don't have an extra SP4 power connector coming from the power supply, you can get our internal power splitter, which plugs into the four-pin power connector and gives you an SP4 connector and one regular LP4 power connector (hard drive power connector).
