  • How do I know whether I need a "passive adaptor" or an "active converter" when I order a USB to PS/2 adapter to use my PS/2 keyboard and mouse with my USB laptop?
    • For a PS/2 keyboard or mouse connecting to a USB port on your computer we recommend using our active USB to PS/2 adapters because they work a much higher percentage of the time.

  • I bought a Belkin Flip PS/2 specifically to be able to switch two computers between a single monitor, keyboard and mouse. It has PS/2 for both computers. That's fine for my older computer (WinXP) that has PS/2; my new computer (Vista) only has USB, so I need two female PS/2's to connect to the Belkin with USB input to the computer. Are two Manhattan USB to Single PS/2 Adapter's the solution to my need? (I notice some of your Customer Reviews say they had non-working product issues). Is so, do I need passive or active? (And do they come in purple and green for identification purposes?) Thanks Ron
    • I would recommend our USB to dual PS/2 adapter. It will let you connect both PS/2 connections (color coded) to a single USB port on your new computer. It is active and a great solution. (I have one of these at home for a similar situation with a KVM switch)
