GrandTec USB to HDMI Video Converter Questions - GHD-2000

• I love the idea of this product! I just got a 720p LCD TV and I watch TV through my media center on my laptop because I get an interactive guide and dvr without paying for a cable box. I would like to continue to use my TV tuner in my laptop to watch TV, I want to use my new tv as a monitor basically. My processor is an AMD Turon64 1.8 GHz and I have heard that it equates to intel pentum 4 if its not better. My question is will my processor be able to handle the GrandTec USB to HDMI Video Converter and if not can I return it for a refund?

• What type of USB input is on the box itself? Is it a type a, a mini or micro. How long is the USB cable that comes with the unit?
  • The USB on the converter box is Mini-B. The included cable is 3 feet long.

• Is therte a product like this that slides into my PCMCIA 54 slot on my laptop instead of having an external device? Havent found one anywhere.

  • This unit is designed to connect an HDMI display to your computer, not to capture video via HDMI. We have some PCI HDMI Capture cards or if you want to capture through USB you can use an Epiphan DVI USB Frame grabber.

• I have Window 7, 64-Bit. Can this Part - Sewell Part #: SW-20189 Mfg Part #: GHD-2000 - be used with my computer? Please advise.
  • This does NOT work with 64bit XP, Vista, or 7. It will work with the 32bit versions of all those though.
