Pros: THE ADAPTER WORKED GREAT. I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR A CABLE TO HOOK UP MY HP 1100 PRINTER TO MY LAP TOP ALL THE LAPTOP HAD WAS USB AND THE 1100 HAD A PARALLEL 22 PIN END WHICH WAS GOOD ON MY OLDER DESK TOP COMPUTER. I WAS TOLD BY MANY OF THE COMPUTER STORE THAT THERE WAS NO SUCH CABLE MADE AND I WOULD JUST HAVE FOR GET IT. THANKS SO MUCH FOR PROVIDING IT.

Pros: Cable is pretty long for adapters of this type, and the generic DB25 connector means you can extend it with a printer cable of any length. No drivers needed.

Cons: May not work with HP mini-Centronics/1284C cables (tested on OS X only). Long-term reliability unknown.

Other Comments: I've had this for a while, left over from a failed attempt to connect an iMac to an old HP with the mini-Centronics connector. My father's USB-Centronics adapter died last month, so I pulled this out. Got his LJ 2200M back up and running quickly, and I like the longer cable. I think the old adapter died because the cable was too short and was under strain.

Pros: This is the part to connect an HP 2100 printer to a USB port. If you already have a printer driver installed, you just connect your printer with this adapter and you're ready to go.

Cons: Expensive.
