active extension cables can offer? Black Box has your answer. This compact, simple solution allows you to send a low-speed (keyboard, mouse, etc.) USB signal up to 1000 ft. over Cat5 network cable! Higher speed USB 1.1 connections (printers, webcams, etc.) can be extended up to 150 ft.
The product itself is fairly simple. It consists of a host-interface module, which has two USB 1.1 B-type female connectors and a female RJ-45 network cable jack, and a device-interface module, which has two USB 1.1 A-type female connectors and a female RJ-45 network cable jack. Simply plug the host and the devices into their respective units and connect the modules with an economical Cat5 cable.
