Pros: Used to be about $50 cheaper, but still pretty cheap. Cons: Creates different com ports when you plug it into different usb ports. Also, it sometimes enumerates 5,6,7,8 before 1,2,3,4. Pros: We use several of these items to connect 5 serial devices to our workstation. Then the addressing of these devices comes from addressing the correct COMx port. Simple Cons: Other Comments: Would like to be able to chose from 8 port female and 8 port male devices. Some times, one is easier to buy cables for, other times, one type is easier to fabricate.
