Pros:

Cons:

Other Comments: the review above is right that something is wrong... You want to connect the OUT cable to the IN. Most common mistake...

Pros:

Cons:

Other Comments: I received the cable, plugged it in (yes, I connected OUT to IN and IN to OUT) to my Yamaha DGX-202, set it to PC MODE, opened up Sibelius 5, but Sibelius couldn't recognize that I had a MIDI device connected, even when I went through setting and preferences. I then tried it with Finale NotePad, but that didn't work either. Very dissatisfied, returning it.

Pros:

Cons: I just got this cable. Open the box and there are not instructions, only a packing slip. How hard can it be...? I plug in the "IN" midi endo of the cable to the keyboard and the usb into my new Vista Home Premium PC. Message says driver failed to load... I did not think a driver was required...! Hmmm. I get online and M-Audio has no driver for this device and no manual to download either. I rebooted and tried again... I'm trying to use this with Finale NotePad2008 to score music. The MIDI setup shows no MIDI device attached... This is frustrating and there's no one to ask for help... It is not as advertised... It does not plug and play. When I first plug in the USB the Red light comes on the midi interface... If I play notes on the piano the yellow light flashes... about 3 seconds after I plug in the usb cable all lights go off on the midi interface. Something is obviously going wrong...

Pros:

Cons: Well, I don't think this is ready for prime time... At least not with Vista. M-Audio does have a driver and a manual for download (no mention of Vista in the manual). jAmii at the help desk is trying to provide instructions to get it to work but none of the suggestions are working. I've tried it on other Vista machines. No luck. I will most likely be returning this unit.
