Why a Docking Station?

Connecting hard drives to your computer externally allows you to quickly move hard drives between computers for safe transfers and back-up, or sometimes you just have more hard drives than you have space for inside your computer. You can easily connect typically internal SATA drives to your computer externally through a docking station. Rather than buying enclosures for each hard drive, use the less expensive alternative of a single docking station.

USB 3.0 Speeds

What's the point of having a bunch of SATA drives if you can't take advantage of fast transfer speeds? Depending on many factors of your hard drive, including how fast it can spin, this USB 3.0 docking station can theoretically transfer at 3.0 Gbps (although in practice this is often difficult to achieve due to other hardware factors, you can expect to see significantly faster transfers than a USB 2.0 connection).

How to Use:

This docking station is as easy to use as it looks. Simply connect this docking station using a USB 3.0 cable to your computer's USB 3.0 port. Whenever you need to use a hard drive, simply insert the drive into the docking station's slot. The connectors are positioned perfectly for ease of insertion. Within moments, your computer will recognize the drive and you will be able to transfer information between it; like any external USB drive.
