This is the most economical way to extend your
USB mouse and keyboard further away from your computer using a Cat5 networking cable.
Because of USB's distance limitations, you'll need an extender or booster of some sort to extend your USB devices more than 16 feet away from your computer. This extender will take your USB signal 30 meters from the computer without a power supply and 60 meters with a power supply. The 5V 2A power supply is not included.
This extender supports USB 1.1 and so is meant for devices that don't require high bandwidths, like a keyboard and mouse. Other applications include low-cost web cams as an inexpensive security solution, and USB bar code scanners.
This extender only provides one USB port. It is recommended you use a hub or a keyboard with built-in USB port for the mouse if you are using it for that application.
