I actually have this exact model in my 2003 Honda Accord EX and I couldn't be happier. I've had it for almost a month (that's when we decided to bring it into our store) and I'm happy to talk about all of the available features. This model does everything that I've wanted in an iPod car interface.
Works with my factory radio buttons and my steering wheel buttons
I can use my radio's track and volume buttons as well as my steering wheel buttons to change tracks and volume. For anyone who has played around with their iPod in their car, they know that it is about as dangerous as text messaging while you're driving.
Perfect CD Quality Sound
Ditch the FM Transmitter.
Charges Your iPod
Don't worry about those messy iPod car chargers or making sure your iPod is all charged up before long trips any more. This charges your iPod while you drive, and even charges it for an hour after you shut off the engine. The charge cuts off after an hour to ensure your battery isn't taxed too much.
iPod automatically starts/stops
No need to push play when you get in or stop when you turn off the radio. The iPod will do it for you. In fact, the iPod actually powers on and off when you turn the engine on or off if your iPod is connected.
iPod is never reset
Whether you were listening to your iPod before getting in the car, or whether you are listening to it right after, the iPod doesn't reset, it continues listening to the song and playlist you left off on.
If using Direct Control Mode, you can choose songs/artists/playlists using the iPod
A dip switch on the unit allows you to choose direct control mode, allowing you to choose on your iPod what to play. You can still use your factory radio or steering wheel controls to change the volume or tracks.
If using Playlist Mode...
...which you can toggle with the dip switch, you can select up to 5 playlists with your factory radio's CD changer buttons.
New Hybrid Mode
It combines the best features of Direct Mode and Playlist Mode. Create and access your favorite mobile playlist (as in our Playlist mode) or directly access all your iPod content manually on your iPod (as in our direct mode). iPod displays song title information and iPod is never locked, so user has complete manual control of their iPod at all times.
Another audio input included
Right/Left audio-in RCA jacks are also available for other audio devices, like a DVD player or a laptop.
The device plugs into your car's CD player connector, so if you're using an external CD player, it will have to be disconnected. If you're not confident enough to take apart your dash, you can probably get an installer to do it for around $50-60.
