Maintain perfect image quality at all resolutions while extending your DVI signal up to 220 feet over inexpensive STP (Shielded) Cat5e and Cat6 Cable.

More computers are being manufactured with DVI ports than ever before. DVI signals have great video quality, but DVI cables can be expensive, especially when you need to extend a DVI signal more than a few feet. Anytime a DVI cable extends longer than 15 feet, video quality is lost over the distance.

The solution is to buy a DVI repeater with a power supply, but then you are still left buying really long DVI cables. The costs start adding up and it's easy to see how expensive extending a DVI source to a display for more than just a few feet can be.

The DVX200 from Smart AVI can extend your DVI signal over 200 feet using a single Cat5 cable. It will keep video resolutions up to 1600 x 1200 @ 60 Hz (1280 x 1024 @ 75 Hz) up to the maximum distance. It is compatible with all operating systems and you can mount up to four devices in a 19-inch/1U rack.

It requires a short DVI cable from the source to the DVI sender box that comes in this combo pack. Then you attach a Cat5 cable for as long as you need to extend the signal up to 220 feet. Near the display, you plug the Cat5 cable into the DVI receiver box and use another short DVI cable to go from the receiver box to the display.

You will be very happy with your decision to use a DVI extender package that uses Cat5 rather than actual DVI cables and there is no video resolution and quality loss.
