Set up your Xbox Kinect further away from your Xbox 360 and keep your home theater clean and professional. The Kinect already comes with a 10 ft passive USB cable, but for anyone needing to go further, you'll need an active extension cable, i.e. one that repeats the signal so that you don't lose data along the way.
Note: This is a USB Extension and requires the Kinect power supply. If you have purchased the Kinect with the Xbox in a bundle, the connection for the Kinect may be different. If you do not have a standard USB connection you can use the passive 9 foot Kinect extension or purchase the Kinect power supply. Please check before purchasing!
Daisy chaining up to 64 feet
We tested the Xbox Kinect with all our Sewell USB Active Extension cables, and we found that our 16 ft cable is the optimal length for actively repeating the USB signal. Each cable contains active electronics that repeat the USB signal, so you can daisy chain up to four cables without a hint of signal degradation. This means that you can place your Kinect up to 74 feet away from your Xbox console (64 feet of extension plus 10 feet from the passive cable included with the Kinect).
