Cons: This item does NOT support 3D and is NOT HDMI v1.4 compliant as advertised, as there was no Audio Return Channel either. I was very disappointed.
Tech Support Response: We are sorry that you are having trouble with the splitter. These splitters (as do most splitters) build a composite EDID from the connected displays. That has limitations, especially when the supported features of both displays are not identical. (i.e. if only one TV supports 3D, the splitter will only show the 2D signal both screens can show) Audio return is especially difficult since both displays have the option of sendin the ARC signal, but only one could be processed at a time.
Pros: Work very well. I have two already and another two on order. Both have worked perfectly so far. Come with power supply and status lights are handy.
Cons: Very light weight so flop around due to weight of the cables.
Other Comments: Overall very happy.
Pros: A powered HDMI splitter that takes 1 HDMI imput and sends it out to 2 outputs. The price is moderate especially with the quality of the HDMI splitter. Power supply included. No HDMI cables included which allows both a lower price and your choice of HDMI cables.
Other Comments: I purchased the splitter with HDMI cables from Sewell (high speed with ethernet) in both 3 foot and 6 foot lengths.
Pros: Seems to share the signal ok for video.
Cons: This did not solve my 3D vs 5.1/7.1 surround signal issue as I was promised by Sewell presales support said it would. Unfortunately I still have to either hook directly to TV to get 3D from my player and only get 2 channel audio returned, or plug into my receiver and get great audio and 2D picture but player fails to detect the 3D ability of the TV. This splitter gives me no better solution than plugging directly to the TV.
Tech Support Response: We're sorry for the bad information you were given. There may have been a miscommunication somewhere in the process on our part, as the splitter is not able to send two different signals to each of your displays, but rather negotiates with your devices to figure out a single signal your video player will send out to both devices simultaneously, which can lead to issues when one device supports a feature that the other does not.
Pros: - SOLID CONSTRUCTION
- SNUG HDMI CONNECTIONS (NO WIGGLING)
- SUPER EASY SETUP AND USE
Other Comments: I <3 SEWELL!
