  • Will this allow me to connect a sata hardrive to an older computer? will I be able to slave an idee harddrive with this newer harddrive with this card?
    • IDE harddrives are only needed to be in slave mode if there is another harddrive being used through the same controller. Since a SATA drive would not be on the same controller, there is no reason to put it in slave mode, but you would be able to connect it as a master and boot to the SATA drive instead of the IDE through the settings in your computer's BIOS. This card should work great for your purposes.
