SATA to IDE Converter Reviews - AD3300

Pros: ***** Bought two Serial ATA to IDE Converters Plan on buying a USB/IDE adaptor and a USB/PARALLEL adaptor soon.

Cons: One Serial ATA to IDE Converter was defective but Sewell replaced it immediately.

Other Comments: Sewell's stuff is innovative and good quality.

Pros: easy to install. does as described.

Cons: power supply

Other Comments: My PC does not have an extra type of connector needed to power the converter. I have to disconnect one drive to use the drive connected to this connector. Should advise if adapter is available.

Other Comments: Easy to install if you have old usable IDE Hard Drives and a new SATA only motherboard. Will more than likely be used until the hard drive quits.

Other Comments: Setup a Microsoft Home Server which is primarily a storage server. I had several IDE hard drives which I have to connect to the MB which had only one IDE Header and several SATA interfaces. I ordered this device after extensive research on the internet and liked the detail information provided on the site. Snapped the device in and the system spurted awy withou a hitch using up the IDE drive which I now have connect to the Sata connections. Thanks guys. Hard to find innovative deveices which are properly priced and just do what they are supposed to do. Cheers!
