  • I have a serveral Dell Otiples 330 systems that are ALL SATA. They have no LP4 IDE power plugs at all. Do you have an adapter for the SATA power connector for use with you SATA to IDE logic adapter?
    • Unfortunately, we do not have any adapters that will convert the SATA power plug to the older 4 pin power connection. Our only power adapters go the opposite direction.

  • I've got a new Dell Inspiron 530 that came with a DVD drive that's SATA. I have a Yamaha DVD burner (that I hoped to swap out with whatever came with the PC) that is IDE. So I can plug this part into the back of the IDE burner, insert the SATA cable, and it should work? I believe I have a power cable somewhere in there as well.. (But I also have the little soundcard cable) Trying to find the right part for the job.
    • Before resorting to this product I would make sure that your motherboard does not have any open IDE ports, but assuming it doesn't, this product will do exactly what you describe.

  • I have a new Dell Inspiron 530 with Serial ATA cabling. I want to take my old IDE drive and use as a slave drive. This looks like it will work but I am concerned that the power cables may be different. Does this convert the power plug differences too?
    • This adapter does not convert the power connections. Most computers still have the older connections, but unfortunately new Dells do not. You would need power converters as well. Unfortunately we do not sell any adapters to go from the SATA power connection to the older 4 pin connections.
