When you need to expand your network capabilities, Quatech's 1-port RS-232 (DB-9) serial device server with surge suppression has got you covered. You can network-enable your serial device for remote data collection, access, and control.
Quatech features a PowerPC® from Freescale™ (formerly Motorola® Semiconductor). This processor is part of a world-class architecture that offers the lowest latency available anywhere. Applications requiring specific and complete emulation for a local serial COM port will get the lowest latency possible or very high (up to 921K) baud rates.
This server includes industrial surge suppression with options such as 5v power output, DIN rail and rack mounting, additional power in/out modes, screw terminal adapters, and more. Its high performance offers SNMP for simple network management and virtual COM port drivers for Windows NT4, 2000, XP, and Linux.
Raw TCP and UDP modes allow direct access from virtually all operating systems and may be setup as a client or server, or use the AutoTCP feature to operate as a client to one computer and a server to another (excellent for remote service needs).
Easy ten-minute installation completes the package with the unique Wizard that automatically searches and identifies any network attached Quatech unit. The server is housed in a solid metal case ideal for rugged industrial environments and a five-year warranty seals the deal.
