    • Yes, this can be used in conjuctiontion with USB exgenders, howeer please note that this is a passive switch and should be considered part of the 16 foot unboosted cable limitation.

  • How does the switch hook up to the printer and also to the 2 computers? and are the cables flat on one end and sqaure on the other?
    • You will need 3 "printer USB cables" (so flat on one end and square on the other. you connect the printer to the flat port on the Switch and then connect both PCs to the square ports on the Switch and you are set to go.

  • Here's the setup: Two computers (both XP) on D-Link wireless router. Each computer has its own printer, one color, one monochrome, both USB. The computer with the monochrome printer occasionally needs to print color. Will this product make that possible?
    • Yes, it should - be aware, though, that this is not an automatic switch so every time you want to switch which computer has access to the color printer you will need to push a button. Usually not a big deal but good to know in case you're expecting it to be automatic.
