  • I have NEC Projector model no. MT1040E. It has a PCMCIA slot . I want to use Pc card through this slot without my computer for presentations etc. I dont want to carry my PC to all the places. Give me the supporting product. thanks.
    • I'm afraid that we don't have a product that will do that. PCMCIA slots are typically only built into (laptop) computers. For a list of cards that are compatible with your particular projector, I would suggest contacting NEC.

  • I have and HP laptop and the built in USB ports have quit working.  I have an expansion slot but was told by some one that it is an express slot.  Will the PCMCIA USB 2.0 Card work with my computer?
    • Unfortunately, no. A PCMCIA card won't fit into your expansion slot. Instead, you'll need to get a USB 2.0 Express Card, as this is designed to work in slots such as the one you have.

  • We have an infrared camera that saves images to a PCMCIA card, we are looking for a PCMCIA to USB adapter that will make the camera think it is saving images on the PCMCIA card but actually saving on a USB key.
    • I'm afraid that we don't have a device that will do that. This card is designed to add a USB controller to a computer, your software will not recognize it as a PCMCIA storage device.

  • Hello, I have a Pfaff 2144 embroidery/sewing machine, with two (side by side) PCMCIA slots for inserting memory cards. This machine also came with a corded PCMCIA card to serial port plug. I am sincerely hoping you will tell me this product will work so I can take my embroidery machine places, along with a simple memory stick, leaving my PC at home. ^_^ Thanks!!
    • Unfortunately I don't think that will work for you. It seems unlikely that your embroidery machine has driver support for this card unless it is running Windows (98SE/ME/2000/XP). I would assume that the serial compatibilty is programmed specifically for that card and machine.
