Pros: Excellent drive! Works great! Only thing I need was a 5 volt DC power supply since my laptops USB didn't have the power capability for this drive. But, still excellent advice from Sewell Tech!!

Cons: Just needed t get a 5 volt DC power supply. But, I expected that!

Other Comments: Thanks for the before purchase tech advice on the unit!

Pros: Arrived quickly, exactly as ordered. This drive enclosure is very lightweight and works beautifully with the 2.5" IDE drives I used in it.

Cons: I found no shortcomings to this case. It does have a power connector for external power in case your USB bus is already over loaded, but it ran from my USB port's power just fine. No external power adapter is supplied, but it doesn't seem to need one.

Other Comments: I've used the case twice now to recover data from friend's laptop drives that we pulled from their laptops that died from other causes (dead CPU's, etc.) In both situations, we had no problems recovering all the photos and music my friends wanted to copy from their old drives. In one laptop, the ony problem we had was discovering how to remove its old drive which was hidden above its PCMCIA card slot which had to be removed for us to discover the drive was mounted on the topside of the PCMCIA device. Once we got the old drive out of the laptop, putting it into this external case was a breeze!
