Pros: Works great with the new Macbook Pros to provide video output over HDMI. It even appears that Apple expected this adapter, as they provide television native resolutions in their System Preferences application. I was surprised to see 720i, 720p, 1080i and 1080p called out explicitly!

Cons: Only real con is an Apple limitation where they don't quite follow their own standard of outputting audio over their MiniDisplayPort interface. Not that major of an issue as I don't have an HDMI-Capable Amplifier, so I just use the Optical port.

Pros: I have the 2011 MBP and this passes audio no problems. I thought I'd have to get one of the more expensive versions for audio support.
